Sunday, January 9th at 10:00 – 11:00 am
Poetry Across Borders (PAB) is a community-run initiative of independent poetry circles in cities around the world. PAB explores, through poetry, the voices within and without our imagined boundaries. Our exploration culminates once a month in a live exchange of original poetry between poets who live in places as distant as Washington, DC and Bangalore, India.
Join us on Sunday, January 9th, to participate in Poetry Across Borders, which is like a teleconference of poets around the world sharing their poetry. We will be Skyping with our PAB friends in Bangalore, India. Questions? Email jtucker (at) teachingforchange (dot) org.
If you’re wondering what it’s like to see an audience that is literally on the other side of the world reacting in real time to your poetry, come watch and/or participate to find out! It is a great feeling! We know it is early in the morning on a Saturday, but we assure you it will be well worth it.
- We will be doing a Poetry Across Borders session each month, so spread the word & RSVP on Facebook.
- Hosted by Jonathan B. Tucker, co-host of The Garden Open Mic at BloomBars on Monday nights.
- Suggested donation: $10 to support art, poetry, music, and dance at BloomBars
