Washington Sound Museum with Christylez Bacon and guest Rick Franklin

Washington Sound Museum is a cross-cultural collaborative music experience, a monthly intimate celebration of music and beverage, in partnership with Christylez Bacon & BloomBars. The purpose of the event is to introduce audiences to a variety of musical genres while bringing them together each month through collaboration.

This month’s featured guest is Rick Franklin.

This month will feature Piedmont Blues great, Rick Franklin.

A brief history: also known as East Coast blues, originated in the 1930’s. It is characterized by its guitar finger style that alternates a thumb base string pattern.

Rick was born in Alexandria, VA and has been performing in this specialized genre for 25 years. His goal is to let Jazz music reach the masses, especially the youth.

Added to Christylez’ repretoire will be a new song performed at every Sound Museum, which of course will be highlighted with a new tea experiene every month.

As always, festivities begin with a tea social on the second floor at 7pm and the music concludes at 10pm. Tickets are $15.
