Greetings Bloom supporters. My name is Sitali. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting some of you at the 6th Bloom—my introductory BloomBars’ experience. What I thought would be just another acoustic gig has turned into a partnership and artist-in-residency that we hope will not only inspire beautiful music, but also bring people from all corners of the world together around issues of social justice, self empowerment, and community activism.
For those I haven’t yet had a chance to meet, let me tell you a little about myself. As the son of diplomats, I spent most of my childhood traveling the globe. Listening to the sounds and rhythms of other cultures has had a profound impact on me since I started making music at an early age. From rock, soul, blues, world music, and even blue grass…I play it all. And now you can hear it all every week with Seed The Sound Sundays.
As an artist, finding a performance space without commercial attachment and emphasis on providing the artist with the best possible tools available is rare. That’s why I’m so excited that me dear friends at National Sound have come on board as a supporter. That’s right, we’re going to have some the best sound and lighting techs in the biz – music to the musician’s ear. Now I know why BloomBars has so many people excited. The possibilities are endless. The field has been built. Will they come? I hope you will. You’ll be watching my bloom. Our Bloom.
