PAST EVENT: Tu 5/28: BloomScreen presents: Genetic Roulette: The Gamble of Our Lives

Tuesday, May 28th at 7:00 pm

Join BloomBars for one of the most important films we’ll show all year!

Genetic Roulette: The Gamble of Our Lives (2012, 85 min), by Jeffrey M. Smith – When the US government ignored repeated warnings by its own scientists and allowed untested genetically modified (GM) crops into our environment and food supply, it was a gamble of unprecedented proportions.

Never-before-seen-evidence points to genetically engineered foods as a major contributor to rising disease rates in the US population.

Monsanto’s strong arm tactics, the FDA’s fraudulent policies, and how the USDA ignores a growing health emergency are also laid bare. This sometimes shocking film may change your diet and accelerate the consumer tipping point against GMO foods.

Our film will be followed by a Q&A discussion with Emilianne Slaydon of GMO Free DC, and with DC journalist and editorialist, Mike Snow.
