Sierra Leone’s Refugee All Stars, an uplifting story of survival and hope, follows the story of the six-member band that came together in Guinea after civil war forced them from their native Sierra Leone. Traumatized by physical injuries and the brutal loss of family and community, they fight back with the only means they have — music.
This event is a collaboration with POV, the award- winning independent nonfiction film series on PBS .
About BloomScreen Indie Film Night:
Each Tuesday at 6:30 pm, join fellow film buffs for a screening followed by a discussion with talking points about the film. We’re also working to bring in filmmakers, directors, and subject matter experts whenever possible to aid in discussions and answer your questions.
