Tappy Hour: A Funky Saturday Tap Workshop

Your hip hop/house/salsa/social dancing could use more footwork?

Join us for this tap dance workshop suitable for all levels (including absolute beginner… promise). Try something new or dust your shoes off in a fun, low-pressure but challenging class.

The workshop will touch on technique, style, short choreography, improv, and history…. all to funk, jazz, latin, afrobeat and soul music. Wear any hard soled or tap shoes.

Cost: $5 donation

About the Instructor:

Melissa-Frakman-Tap-Dance-LessonsMelissa Frakman’s work as a tap choreographer and teaching artist has been featured throughout North America and Asia, including at Broadway Dance Center, the Smithsonian Institution, New York University, Brooklyn Music School, Radio City Rockettes and American Tap Dance Foundation. She currently dances with DC-based crew “Just Tap,” to be featured in the Kennedy Center’s 2012 season.
