“Blank Canvas Day” is a project of SPACIOUS.
The event will include a bit of teaching, group discussion, personal reflection (with written questions for engagement) and then a time of “going at it” with paint and canvas as we take the risk to begin not only a creative process but also a changed perception of our own creativity…
A relatively small group of people (20-25), led by Cary Umhau & Joey Katona of SPACIOUS and Kathryn Ivey of Haddon Interiors, will spend a half-day exploring “why not?” and “what if?” relative to our own creative blocks.
The leaders will help participants to engage the obstacles around their self-perceptions and (unnecessary) limits and to emerge more in touch with artistic possibilities in their lives.

About SPACIOUS
SPACIOUS is designed for people who are into equal parts recess, celebrating, dancing, breaking down stale paradigms, and asking great questions. We love to help people move beyond the little boxes, limits and straitjackets we all find ourselves in from time to time.

We’re not above upsetting power structures, and we look for ways to engage and help the marginalized, to feast and play with good people, and to live with childlike curiosity and wonder.
